Warhawks Club Field Hockey

Warhawks Coach Nicole Trunzo brings home Howard County Youth Coach Leadership award, while Warhawks U19 player, Patricia M. Huerta is awarded the Youth Player Sportsmanship award.  See details below!  Congratulations to you both on well deserved awards.
Congratulations to Warhawks Coach Nicole Trunzo - Winner of  Youth Coach Leadership Award

If patience is a virtue, then Nicole Trunzo is one of the most virtuous women in Howard County.  As a member of the East Stroudsburg University field hockey team, she was named All-American as a junior, All PSAC and All-American as a senior.

Today, she shares her tactical and technical knowledge with local players as a coach for Warhakws Club Field Hockey and Oakland Mills High School.

Whether she is explaining a mid-game strategy change on the sidelines of a national competition, or showing new players which side of the stick to use, Nicole gives each player exactly what she needs, when she needs it.

This ability to differentiate instruction, to sense how to best reach a player struggling to acquire a skill or tactic, sets Nicole apart from her peers. Many coaches have played field hockey at the highest level, but few are able to transfer knowledge into action as well as Nicole.

Congratulations to Warhawks player Patricia Huerta - Winner of  Youth Player Sportsmanship Award

Patricia Huerta is known and loved by her Warhakws Club Field Hockey and Reservoir High School teammates because she brings something special to every game: Energicity!

Her enthusiasm and sportsmanship has been tested in many venues. She smiled through torrential downpours that nearly blotted out the lights during a night game at the Disney Field Hockey Showcase, through a 10-hour National Indoor Tournament qualifier and at every high school league game, it’s Patricia who leads the pregame cheer.

She’s the player who makes everyone laugh despite a loss, a friend to all and the girl who reminds everyone that the essence of playing a sport is recreation.

U14 B Team at Washington College!  Go Warhawks!
